Visit Joya de Ceren, declared Patrimony of Humanity by UNESCO, where the daily life of the Maya has been preserved by a volcanic eruption, the San Andres archeological complex, the Tazumal ceremonial site with the highest pyramid in the country and the city of Santa Ana with its historical, Gothic-style cathedral, nineteenth century Theater and its historical district.

Walk through the colorful town of La Palma in Chalatenango, at the north of the country. Here, artisans work wooden crafts painted in bright colors. Afterwards, discover Cihuatán, one of the largest archaeological sites in El Salvador and Suchitoto, a historic colonial town with cobbled streets and rich cultural traditions.

Monsignor Oscar Arnulfo Romero was recently beatified on March 23rd, the first Salvadoran to be honored in such a way. This tour provides us with a brief visit to the most important places of his life and ecclesiastical career. Tour of the Museum of the Word and Image, where his photos are displayed.  Visit the Hospital of the Divine Providence where he lived while he was Archbishop of San Salvador and became “the voice of the voiceless” and see his few belongings and other objects, such as his automobile. Walk through the Monsignor Romero Center at the Central American Catholic University (UCA) and Museum of Martyrs. Finally, visit the places where he ministered: the Metropolitan Cathedral where the crypt where he is buried is a national shrine, MUNA, the National Palace, the Monument to the Fallen in War, the Church of the Holy Rosary   and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Finally, end the day at Paseo del Carmen: a restaurant area in Santa Tecla.
